So, now that The One wants to be nice with the GOP, I wondered what that phone call might sound like.
I see it as a guy that dumped his girlfriend and then ignored her for a year, only to realize he was wrong. Of course, the dumper can never really admit that he was wrong because that would appear weak. No, he must spin it to appear as though he is the good guy.

Barry: Uh… yeah… Mitch…. its… uh Barrack. Uh… I just wanted to give you call cuz, ya know, its been awhile…like a year or so? Uhh… well… look, I know you’ve been trying to get in touch with me and I haven’t taken your call. I just thought maybe it was too soon and all. Ya know, the poilcies of the last eight years was really hard on me. I inherited all this stuff and… well, ya know…uh, I had to work some things out. Look, let me be clear… I’ve worked some things out and I’ve really grown over the last year. I know, uh…it may be hard for you to come back. Well, uh… wait… not come back…but uh, be friends. Yeah…I think I’m ready to be friends and we’ll see where it goes… OK? Uh… so thanks… call me back.
