I continue to marvel at how the Obama team is completely out of touch with reality. No…hear me out…

For 364 days (more if count the time between election and swearing in of Scott Brown), Barry and his posse had a super majority. They controlled the House, Senate, and White House. The key is the Senate, with a filibuster-proof 60 vote majority. In simple terms, the Dems could do what ever the hell they wanted – NO Republicans need apply. But, the trio of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid went on whining about Republican obstructionism.

I’m sorry….what? (By the way, if you try to use obstruction in an argument, you have no credibility and I will ignore you) But, this is not the point…

Now Doctor Zero wants to be nice and play ball.

Republicans sent letter after letter, bill after bill, to the President. All were ignored, and Barry lied when he said, “they just want to say no, they have no ideas.” The people screamed at them in town halls…and they did not listen. In fact, the Dems called them names and blew them off as “kooks” or “extremists.” Poll after poll showed the approval of heath care legislation plunge to levels only seen by W. Barry blew off the elections in New Jersey and Virgina, denying to themselves that the people do not want what the Dems are selling. Along comes Scott Brown, in the bluest of blue states…a Republican in the Lion’s chair.

….and now Barry wants to be nice? Its seems like an abusive spouse coming back to profess his love for the one he abuses. But, unless you play by Barry’s rules, he will try to slap you around again.

I’m happy to see the GOP digging in their heels. They know that Barry is trying to set them up… “See, I stuck out a hand and they ignored me. It’s not my fault.” Don’t give in…the American people are too smart. Republicans know that the game is afoot.

Republicans are not the problem….Democrats are. The socialist policies of Pelosi, Reid and Obama scare the hell out some of those Dems as well. But, in true Barrack Obama form, he wants to point the finger elsewhere.

What entertains me (or offends me, I can’t decide) is the way Doctor Zero thinks he’s got the upper hand here. He wants to play hard ball when he doesn’t have the leverage. He wants to play hard ball when after a full year of a super majority, he couldn’t get his agenda through. Now, Barry NEEDS Republicans and he’s trying to change his image to Mr. Nice Guy.

Sorry Barry….go sit down.

I sent the following to Senators Bennet (Socialist-CO) and Udall (Socialist-CO) this morning.

Senator,

Your vote this morning is a confirmation of your ineptitude and inability to understand the principles of America and the US Constitution.

Your vote this morning condones and ecourages the theft of taxpayer dollars for bribes and payoffs.

Your vote this morning supports politics and power in lieu of the interest of the citizens of this country.

Your vote this morning is prima facie evidence that you have not read the bill, you do not comprehend its consequences, and do not understand the outcome.

You are raising taxes on Americans who are hurting and on the very people who actually create jobs.

You are jeopardizing the quality health care of seniors by creating the means to ration care.

You have committed 1/6th of a capitalist economy to a bloated, bureaucratic government incapable of efficiency and self-accountability.

You have created yet another entitlement hand out that will bankrupt this country so your party leader can add a political notch to his bedpost.

You have approved of faulty accounting tricks to cover up the true cost of this legislation for which private businesses and citizens would be jailed.

You have done this in spite of your constituency overwhelmingly in opposition to the legislation.

Senator, you will answer to voters. Your term will end…but then, you don’t care, you’ve gotten your golden parachute for life. Why is this bill good enough for us but not good enough for you?

Senator, you are simple-minded, irresponsible, socialist coward who lacks the fortitude to stand on the principles of individual freedoms.

Good luck on what’s left of your career in politics.

With great disdain…
An independent Colorado voter

I came across this little tidbit of information this morning and I’m a little dumbfounded.

The Bill that will now face a “debate” on the Senate floor – affectionately known as ReidCare – is full of taxes and tricks. Fine…that’s what every partisan bill contains, how to help “our side.”

The Congressional Budget Office scored the bill and found some interesting things. They claim that the bill would actually reduce the Federal deficit over 10 years. OK, great… except that taxes begin in 2010 and spending (health care) doesn’t begin until 2014.

For us publicly educated folk, that’s a full fours years of taxes with no benefits. Need more explanation? OK. You collect ten years’ of paychecks, but only pay six years’ of bills. How would your bank account look at the end of ten years? Yup, surplus.

Whatever…that’s just accounting tricks that the government uses. Of course, if a corporation and their accounting firm did that, they would be thrown in jail. If you and I did that, we would lose our house and cars.

No…I am perplexed by the fact, according to the Congressional Budget Office, that 24 million people (legal and illegal) will still remain uninsured after 10 years. Right there on page 8 and 9 of the letter, and confirmed again in the facts and figures at the end. I’ve included the damning data below:

the devil in the details

Now, after the House passed PelosiCare…I pointed out that the atrocity would still leave 12 million (actual US citizens) uninsured. Toss in the illegals and you have 20 million uninsured.

So…let’s sum up. We are going to create dozens of new government bureaucracies, allow the government to interfere in every aspect of our lives, send us to jail for not having “acceptable” coverage, raise taxes on everyone not just the “rich,” shut down entire corporations that employ tens of thousands of people, and ration health care… and spend TRILLIONS of dollars.

For what? Getting insurance for, effectively, 20 million people who don’t have it now. Yeah, 45 million don’t have it now and many are already offered care under Medicaid and S-Chip or choose not to have insurance.

Using the most basic of common sense and logic, you can provide coverage and benefits to those who need it. All without creating massive government and spending money.

If there is so much corruption, fraud, and waste in Medicaid…why not just clean that up? Does it really require a complete overhaul of 1/6 of our economy?

What are the provisions in Obama-Reid-Pelosi-Care that actually enforce and protect against fraud and corruption in government health care?

If the insurance companies are so evil, why not just change the rules and then subsidize the extreme cases? It doesn’t require this much government interference.

This entire debacle is NOT about providing health care. It is a power grab…pure and simple.

If you honestly believe otherwise, prove I am wrong.

Here’s the full letter from the CBO to dingy Harry Reid. (pdf will open)

Senator,

Your support of the health care travesty that will lead to this country’s undoing is offensive and should be considered gross misconduct. Your actions are a slap in the face of your constituents and their wishes.

You have failed to uphold your oath to protect the United States Constitution.

As your employer, I am asking for your immediate resignation.

I will send this message to their offices repeatedly until this destruction of liberty is defeated or November 2, 2010.

Except, when you’re a Democrat, the term “all” means almost everything or everyone. The political equivalent of horseshoes and hand grenades. To quote Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) from his speech last night in the health care “debate”

“It provides coverage for 96 percent of Americans. It offers everyone, regardless of health or income, the peace of mind that comes from knowing they will have access to affordable health care when they need it.”

PelosiCare will cover 96% of Americans…but offers everyone care. I’m sorry, wait, which is it? Everyone…or almost everyone? 96%? What about the other 4%? In case you’re curious, 4% of the American population (roughly 305 million) is a little more than 12 million people. Let me repeat that to make sure the number sticks in your head…

Per the Democrats, 12 million Americans will STILL be WITHOUT coverage despite a huge explosion of government bureaucracy and over $1.2 trillion (or more) in spending.

I was listening to Glen Beck this morning and was absolutely blown away by this mix.

The audio is of a Reagan speech back in the 60′s from what I understand. The text is amazing and can be read on Glen Beck’s website.

You could date that speech August 28, 2009 and it fits perfectly with the times.

I can say with confidence that everyone wants to help those who need better access to health care. Not a single person has stated, “no way, the poor can stay sick and die.” This argument is absurd. No, this is not about withholding from those without.

This is about not allowing this government, or any government, to come into our lives and any make decisions that directly affect our ability to pursue life, liberty, and happiness.

Do one of two things: Run like hell or punch him in the nose.

Does Barack Obama actually believe his own words? Does he seriously believe that a government program of social entitlement will “pay for itself?” Government run health care will never pay for itself nor ever be more efficient. Hell, private insurance companies are buried in mountains of paperwork as it is, much of it from government regulations.

There ya go… reduce government interference into health care, cut down on the piles of paper work, save trees, save the environment, ?, profit.

Ronald Reagan said it best, “The most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I am here to help’.”
