Whenever a government official, or worse a politician, says to you, “this will pay for itself with savings from being more efficient…”
Do one of two things: Run like hell or punch him in the nose.
Does Barack Obama actually believe his own words? Does he seriously believe that a government program of social entitlement will “pay for itself?” Government run health care will never pay for itself nor ever be more efficient. Hell, private insurance companies are buried in mountains of paperwork as it is, much of it from government regulations.
There ya go… reduce government interference into health care, cut down on the piles of paper work, save trees, save the environment, ?, profit.
Ronald Reagan said it best, “The most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I am here to help’.”
