I love these colors...
On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress proposed that the United States have a national flag instead of the British Union Jack.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Happy birthday to the Flag of this great nation. I, for one, am proud of it.

I became a US citizen 5 or 6 years ago on this date. Never take for granted being born on US soil!
