So, I was invited to the upcoming Static-X show by a co-worker. I dig Static-X… its nasty, hardcore, metal that gets the blood flowing. Its a great addition to my snowboarding play list.
Something occurred to me, here on the eve of my 40th birthday. When do we outgrow these types of things? There’s no clear cut day that says…OK, no more, old guy.
I still love the music… I’m just not interested in a show like this anymore. I don’t want to stay up that late, getting beer spilled on me, dealing with some punk’s attitude (who could probably kick my ass) and having the ringing in my ears the next day.
Thanks for the invite…but, I’ll stick to my early bed time and my iPod.
